His Unseen Hand

See, I am doing a new thing!  Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?  I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. – Isaiah 43:19

A good show might have singers, dancers, and actors, but behind the curtain is an army that works to make the production come together.  They are often unseen and unrecognized, but their work does not go unnoticed.  Every time you stand and applaud the performers, you’re also applauding the costume designers, lighting technicians, and stage hands that enabled that actor to shine.

Sometimes it’s so hard to believe that God is truly working all things for our good.  We experience seasons of sickness, or trouble, or heartache and we forget that God may be at work behind the scenes preparing circumstances for our blessing.  Every harvest begins by breaking up the soil.  It is an uncomfortable process, but the turnover provides a rich place for the seed to grow.  If you feel like God is breaking up the soil in your life, remember that He does not prepare the field without purpose.  He wants to be glorified in YOU…  but farmers aren’t recognized for growing weeds.  If God is turning your life over, it’s because He wants you to let go of the weeds you’ve grown in favor of His holy harvest.  Give God free reign to do a new thing in you, and trust that He’s at work for your good even when you don’t perceive it.
